Naomie Harris: Trains thrill me
Naomie Harris has joked that seeing her emblazoned on the side of a train was a "big moment" for her family.
The actress spoke about her love for the method of transport while attending the unveiling of a special train service based on her movie Skyfall over the weekend.
The British star laughed about the train's artwork, which features giant images of the film's cast on the side, including photos of her in character as Miss Moneypenny in the Bond blockbuster.
“It’s not every day you’re on a train with your face on the side,” Naomie smiled to British newspaper The Sun.
“I brought my brother and stepdad along with their camera to record the moment and it was very exciting. A big moment in our family.”
The actress will follow this appearance with a glamorous one at next weekend's Oscars ceremony in Los Angeles.
Naomie knows what a huge honour it is to be invited to the prestigious acting ceremony, as well as the importance of playing such an iconic British character as a Bond girl. Lois Maxwell and Samantha Bond have starred as Miss Moneypenny in the past.
"[Being a Bond girl is] a real privilege," she gushed. “It’s a lot to live up to because you’re entering this incredibly small select band of highly talented and beautiful women so to be selected is a huge honour."
The talented star remained modest about her future with the Bond movie franchise. Her co-star Daniel Craig has signed up to star in the next two films, however Naomie is unsure whether she will return.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen but I hope I’ll be back. I don’t really know what’s going on," she revealed. "It’s all very secretive. It’s like being part of MI6 for real.”
