Nayyar teases Big Bang tension

Kunal Nayyar plays astrophysicist Rajesh Koothrappali in The Big Bang Theory

The Big Bang Theory's Kunal Nayyar has revealed there will be more relationship struggles for the rest of the series.

The British actor, who plays Indian astrophysicist Rajesh Koothrappali in the hit US show, admitted that there are no fairytale endings for the paired-up screen couples anytime soon - including newlyweds Howard and Bernadette and socially awkward pair Sheldon and Amy.

"You can expect more of the same - Raj never finding love, Howard and Bernadette trying to figure out their relationship and Sheldon maybe pushing his physical boundaries with Amy. We'll see," he teased at the Golden Globes, where the programme was up for TV comedy/musical.

Asked why Raj is so unlucky in love, Kunal - who is married to former Miss India Neha Kapur in real life - joked: "I don't know. He gets in his own way."

The 31-year-old said it was "wonderful" to be nominated for a Golden Globe, despite losing out to Lena Dunham's sitcom Girls.

"It really is wonderful. It's a dream come true because you dream about these things when you're young and then they happen to you. You're here, surrounded by stars and you're one of them, and it's mind-blowing," he said.

No matter how stringently your loved ones warn you, that won't stop you pursuing a romantic interest. You're utterly captivated by someone who exudes warmth, charisma and drama. If you're not able to provide them with the luxuries they crave, there will be problems. Then again, you have the potential for being a good provider, so all may be well.More
