Odom in NBA talks?
Lamar Odom may get his job as a professional basketball player back after drugs abuse reports.
The NBA player has been subject to conflicting reports which suggest he is addicted to crack cocaine and prescription drugs.
However he may now be clean after jetting out to New York on Wednesday to have discussions with major sporting teams, according to TMZ.
Sources close to Lamar purportedly say the move is helping him claim he is clean and sober.
Lamar allegedly had blood and urine tests on Tuesday for drugs and tested negative for any illegal substances.
TMZ writes that “he was lucid and showed no signs of being under the influence of drugs”.
The 33-year-old is thought to have had chats with executives from many basketball teams interested in signing him up.
As long as he could prove he was not abusing drugs anymore they could possibly strike a deal.
As the same time as holding business meetings, Lamar additionally wanted to visit relatives on the East Coast of America and get away from "the negative energy" in Los Angeles.
The insiders added that Lamar “has had his fun” with drugs but is determined to get back to work now.
Meanwhile that same day Lamar pled not guilty to driving under influence, following his arrest in August.
He was absent from court as he went to NYC, but his lawyer Richard Hutton entered the plea on behalf of his client.
Lamar was pulled over on the Los Angeles’ 101 Freeway on August 30, and showed “objective signs of intoxication and was unable to perform field sobriety tests as explained and demonstrated,” according to the police at the time of his arrest.
He refused to submit to further chemical tests after being taken into custody which in turn lead to the suspension of his driving license for one year, reports Radar.
Lamar was spotted with his estranged wife Khloé Kardashian for the first time in 129 days on Tuesday.
