Olly Murs and Diana Vickers are apparently fooling around following their respective love splits.

Olly Murs has sparked romance rumours with X Factor alumni Diana Vickers.

Both stars shot to fame on the singing competition, with Olly launching himself as a superstar singer as well as an in-demand presenter. Diana has also managed to stay in the limelight, dipping her toes into an acting career. Now speculation is rife that Olly and Diana, both newly single, are hooking up.

“They’ve always had a soft spot for each other,” an insider let slip to Britain’s The Sun newspaper. “Now since they are both single they have been in touch. There’s an obvious attraction between the pair of them and they’re both young and good-looking.

“They’re just fooling around at the moment and having a laugh with each other. Neither wants anything serious as they have both just come out of long-term relationships.

Olly split with his property manager girlfriend Francesca Thomas in September (15) after three years, while Diana and One Night Only frontman George Craig also said their goodbyes recently, ending four years of dating.

With the X Factor live shows kicking off tomorrow (31Oct15), presenter Olly is going to be kept busy for the next few months, but sources say Diana could well be at his side.

“Olly in particular has a lot on his plate due to his X Factor commitments and music,” the insider said. “But it’s one to keep an eye on.”

The first X Factor showdown is set to be a strong one. Along with the 12 contestants picked by judges Simon Cowell, Rita Ora, Nick Grimshaw and Cheryl Versini-Fernandez, wildcard singer Monica Michael will also join the live shows.

“I couldn't sleep Sunday night thinking about Monica and if I could convince the other judges of giving her a wildcard,” Rita said, reports The Mirror.

“It's so great that Simon, Cheryl and Grimmy agreed. What a rollercoaster for Monica but sooo glad to have her back. So exciting."
