One Direction's Liam Payne has called Cheryl Fernandez-Versini his 'favourite woman in the world'.

The singer shared an throw-back photo of X Factor judge Cheryl on his official Instagram page alongside a gushing message.

Happy #internationalwomensday to my favourite woman in the world hope I make you as happy as u make me X

The X Factor star has been reportedly dating the One Direction singer for the last two months.

She filed for divorce in January after 18-months, citing irreconcilable differences with her husband Jean Bernard.

The French restaurateur has since told friends news of the romance "really hurts" - especially as the pair posted more loved-up shots on the one-year anniversary of JB's father's death.

Liam and Cheryl have yet to speak to the press about their newfound relationship, but have been keeping fans updated with their activities via Instagram.
