Niall Horan has shared a bizarre anecdote about what one crazed One Direction fan did in order to meet the band.

The 20-year-old boy band member is currently on tour with the group, which is also comprised of Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik.

And according to Niall, the boys have witnessed some rather bizarre scenes while travelling the world.

“We found a girl in a bin one time,” he recalled during a phone interview with Irish radio station Spin 103.8. “She was in a skip at the back of the hotel, trying to sneak in.”

But Niall has compassion for the young lady, as he understands the need to go wild from time to time.

The singer reveals he and bandmate Liam are likely to have quite a party when they turn 21 later on this year, the legal drinking age in America.

“I reckon myself and Liam are probably going to end up having a joint 21st because his birthday is about two weeks before mine,” Niall surmised.

“We’ll have a few drinks there. We’ve been touring America for the past three years and not been able to touch a drop.”

One Direction embarked on their Where We Are Tour towards the end of last month. They will be in Niall’s native Ireland next week, and the star can’t wait to be home.

“[Playing at Croke Park in Dublin] is going to be unbelievable, we’re all saying it. It’s been a while since we’ve been in Dublin last, I haven’t been at home since Christmas,” Niall said.
