One Show decamps to Northern Ireland for week of live fun
One of television's most popular magazine shows is coming to Northern Ireland for the first time on Monday for a week of live programmes.
It will also be the first time that The One Show has left its London studio to spend a week on the road. Presenters Alex Jones and Matt Baker will be making their way up the Causeway Coastal Route as they head from Carrickfergus to the Giant's Causeway from Monday through to Friday, stopping at Cushendall, Ballycastle and Portrush along the way.
Alex said: "I'm really looking forward to coming to Northern Ireland for the week. We'll be visiting some fantastic locations and bringing some great stories to The One Show audience."
Films across the week will include The One Show presenter Angela Scanlon travelling along the Causeway Coastal Route in a DeLorean. She will discover a Second World War connection at the Londonderry Arms Hotel in Carnlough, go fairy hunting at Cushendall, and drop in on Dunluce Castle and the Bushmills Distillery's cooperage.
Matt and Alex will be joined by celebrity guests throughout the week, including Dublin band The Script, country music star Nathan Carter and singer and actress Martine McCutcheon.
The One Show will broadcast live from Carrickfergus Castle on Monday, before bringing the programme from the Heart of the Glens Food Festival in Cushendall on Tuesday; Ballycastle seafront on Wednesday; the east Strand promenade in Portrush on Thursday, with the final programme of the week coming from the Giant's Causeway on Friday.
