Ora honoured by Empire cameo
Rita Ora is thrilled she is getting to sing one of her favourite songs on the hit Fox show.
The Radioactive singer has recently made a move into acting, having made a brief appearance in Fifty Shades of Grey earlier this year. The 24-year-old will next appear as herself in the two hour final episode of the hit Fox drama.
“NY Raining is one of my favourite songs that I have recorded, and I am so honoured to have been asked to perform it with Charles [Hamilton] on the Empire season finale," she told Billboard. "Both as a viewer and as a performer on the show, I cannot wait to tune in to watch what happens next."
Rita will sing alongside the rapper at a party for the character Lucious Lyon, played by Terrence Howard. It marks Charles’ first single since 2008's Brooklyn Girls.
Meanwhile Rita has been spending a lot of time in America lately. As well as performing at the Academy Awards last month, she has also been working on her debut album for Columbia Records, which is due out later this year.
And as for her fledgling acting career, she will next be seen alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in boxing drama Southpaw.
Rita will be hoping for good feedback in both her upcoming endeavours, as she recently revealed that she sets a very high standard for herself.
“I expect a lot of myself," she divulged to the German edition of Glamour magazine. "I'm a little perfectionist. If I worried about the expectations of others on top of that, I think I would probably go crazy."
