Sharon Osbourne is expected to sign a deal shortly sealing her return to The X Factor.

The star, 60, who quit as a judge after four years in 2008, is set to return as part of a revamped ITV show, after last year's series suffered in the ratings.

Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh are expected to return, while Mel B has reportedly been drafted in as a replacement for Nicole Scherzinger if the ex Pussycat Doll does not sign.

A spokesman for the show denied reports that Sharon had already inked a £1.8 million deal.

Her husband, rocker Ozzy, 64, recently admitted to having a drink and drugs relapse and publicly apologised to Sharon and his family.

Your Horoscopes by Russell Grant

Aries:

You must be decisive. Don't leave your Fate in the hands of others. If you need more money, ask for a raise. Are you dissatisfied with a relationship? Issue an ultimatum. Are you perturbed by an ethical matter? Speak on behalf of justice. People will be uncomfortable with your dramatic behaviour, but they will respond to it. Waiting for a miracle to arrive simply isn't wise. When you want to make a change, you have to take action, even at the risk of being unpopular.More
