Paltrow woke up feeling 'empowered'

Gwyneth Paltrow has said she "freaked out" before she turned 40.

The Iron Man 3 star, recently named the world's most beautiful woman, celebrated the landmark birthday in September.

She said: "When I was 39 I was freaking out about it but when I woke up on my birthday I was like, 'Oh this is fine, yeah I like this.'

"I felt empowered by everything that I'd achieved and I have two healthy children."

The actress, who has enjoyed success with her own website, Goop, and cookery books, says she's got the right work-life balance.

"You know, I really like the balance I have now in finding one really interesting film a year to do around the family schedule and my business life," she said.

"I don't think I'd ever want to give up acting to only do business but I'm very stimulated by my website."

She added: "I'm really happy at home, so I've got to find things where I'm really going to learn something or push myself to the edge of my capabilities."

Sagittarius:

Working in isolation doesn't suit you. You're a social creature who gets your best ideas when collaborating with others. Unfortunately, that's not possible right now. Resign yourself to this difficult situation. If you do a good job, you'll pave the way for bigger and better assignments. Part of the problem is you lack experience. The only way to get the training you need is to do some volunteer work. Making a temporary sacrifice will eventually pay off. Be patient.More
