Patsy Palmer argued with EastEnders bosses over soap spoilers
Patsy Palmer thinks EastEnders was better before the age of spoilers.
Patsy Palmer used to tell off EastEnders bosses for sharing too many spoilers.
The 44-year-old actress played Bianca Jackson on the BBC show for six years until 1999, then returned in 2008 until 2014. Before her comeback Patsy had publicly criticised the programme for its "ridiculous" storylines and on Thursday's (20Apr17) episode of Loose Women the star further shared her disappointment in how things had changed at EastEnders.
"I haven't watched it for ages, but it used to be really well written," she said of the soap, which is now on four nights a week. "We had two episodes a week, and everyone wanted to know what was going on. There were also no spoilers.
"I used to moan and ask, 'Why are you telling everyone what's going on?' There's supposed to be a cliffhanger and you want to know what's going to happen next."
During her appearance on the talk show Patsy was reunited with her former co-star Martine McCutcheon, who played Bianca's best pal Tiffany Mitchell, via video chat and both women were thrilled to have a brief catch up.
The flame-haired beauty has been living with her husband and children in Malibu, California, since exiting the soap in 2014 and while she has no real interest in returning to Albert Square, Patsy did reveal she's in the midst of meetings about an acting role in the U.K.
"I'll never say never, it's a big mistake it you say things like that," she said of reprising Bianca.
"There's so much that you don't do, if you're in Elstree (Studios) for 20 years. Last time I decided to go back I was there for seven years."
