Paul Danan causes chaos on Celebrity Big Brother by 'accidentally' setting off fire alarm
Paul Danan insisted setting off the Celebrity Big Brother fire alarm had been a mistake, but viewers were unconvinced.
Paul Danan caused chaos on Wednesday night's (02Aug17) Celebrity Big Brother when he "accidentally" set off the fire alarm.
The former Hollyoaks star was one of the latest batch of famous faces to enter the house, with the first evening airing on Wednesday's episode. As the group got used to their new surroundings, Paul attempted to enter the Diary Room, but mistakenly pushed the fire alarm rather than the button to open the door.
Holding his hands up when he realised what he had done, Paul told his fellow housemates: "Oh no, I didn't mean to do that! I'm sorry. It was a mistake! Oh s**t, I pressed the fire alarm. I thought it was the diary room door!"
As the housemates all looked around confused, and scattered into the garden, Paul offered his apologies.
Speaking about the incident later in the Diary Room, Paul said: "When I pressed it, it made this crack noise and it broke, the plastic snapped.
"I was like 's**t, that's the alarm! I'm so sorry. My first dangerous thing - this is why they call me Dangerous Danan. It just follows me. Some people probably call me clumsy."
However, several viewers accused the cheeky chappie of play acting in a bid to court attention.
"So Paul Danan has never seen a fire alarm before. I find that hard to believe. Act for attention achieved," one person tweeted, while another added, "I see why Paul left Hollyoaks.. the acting is poor."
The episode also saw Made In Chelsea's Sam Thompson and Chad Johnson, who first found fame on U.S. reality series The Bachelorette, discussing the X-rated message they receive from fans.
"I get a lot less people sliding into my DMs than you do," Sam told Chad, before adding: "I get dudes! I get c**k shots. I get nothing else."
Chad then replied: "I get girls soaping their a**es. I don't know how they were holding their phones! It's alright, I'm not going to not watch it!"
