Pauly D 'in custody battle'

Relations between Pauly D and the mother of his baby daughter are said to be growing increasingly tense.

The Jersey Shore star confirmed he has become a father yesterday, with his daughter Amabella born on May 15.

According to TMZ the little girl's mother is called Amanda and met Pauly while he was DJ'ing in Las Vegas last year. It was a one-time hook up, with the baby now being raised in New Jersey.

Pauly has undergone a DNA test and insisted he is proud to be a dad and excited to raise his daughter.

However, the gossip website claims things aren't as rosy as they first appear. Pauly is said to have concerns about the woman's mothering skills and is unhappy that she used to work in racy restaurant chain Hooters.

"Pauly and the woman, who goes by Amanda, have filed duelling court docs," the site reports. "We're told Pauly wants some sort of custody of his daughter - but the level of custody is unclear. Sources say Pauly has not seen the child, who was born in May, but obviously he's looking to change that."

The woman is 25 and also has another little one. She is said to be asking for child support from the 33-year-old reality TV star, with Pauly previously saying he will take full responsibility for the tot.

He is said to be unhappy with a picture she posted of the baby online, which sees her sitting in a high chair covered in $100 bills. TMZ has another image of the tot which shows her sleeping in a white and pink dress, with a full head of dark hair.

The site claims Pauly and the woman were never particularly close, with relations between them now even more strained.
