Payne: Luck no different from UK TV
British actor Tom Payne has come a long way from his days on Waterloo Road - but he says appearing alongside Hollywood stars feels no different to any other acting job.
Tom stars with Dustin Hoffman and Nick Nolte in new HBO television series Luck, which centres around the world of horse-racing.
The 29-year-old, who played Brett Aspinall for two series of Waterloo Road, had to learn to ride for the role of jockey Leon 'Bug Boy' Micheaux in Luck.
"There's a funny thing that happens whoever you're working with," he said at the show's Los Angeles premiere. "They yell action and I could be doing a TV show that I was doing in England, it doesn't feel any different.
He added the only times reality struck were "when you sit back and you go 'wow, I worked with that person today' or 'wow, I sat on a horse, and didn't fall off, didn't cry'."
