Penn 'kicks off at fan'

Sean Penn has reportedly had an argument with a fan who tried to take his photo in San Francisco.

The actor has a famously difficult relationship with paparazzi and was ordered to take anger management classes after one altercation. This time around it was allegedly a fan who incurred the 53-year-old star's wrath, with the incident happening at the St Regis Hotel in San Francisco.

According to TMZ, Sean was relaxing the bar when he saw a camera's flash go off. Realising the unidentified person was trying to take his picture, he let rip.

"Do we look like f**king zoo animals?" he is alleged to have yelled.

The actor is said to have been in the city to give a talk at a conference. It is alleged he grab the guy's phone before hurling insults at him - which were caught on a video posted on TMZ.

"I'll make you eat the phone... get the f**k out of here," he is heard shouting.

Shortly afterwards Sean is heard in conversation with a manager at the hotel. Visibly irritated, he advises the worker to "do something" about people taking photographs.

"We're told hotel management approached the fan and asked him if he wanted to call the police - but the man declined and then left the bar," reports the site.

The hotel has not commented on the alleged altercation.

In March, Sean and his son Hopper were involved in an argument with a photographer in Beverly Hills, during which Hopper used racial and homophobic slurs which he later apologised for.
