Perez Hilton insists Lady Gaga is the best pop icon we've had since Madonna.
"I think Gaga has done what nobody since Madonna was able to do and that is inspire the world, excite the world and challenge the world," the celebrity blogger insisted.
The gossip junkie, who's also a close friend to the singer, helped reveal her new wax figure at Madame Tussauds Hollywood - one of eight that came on display to fans around the world on the same day.
"The testament is right here today, there are people showing up dressed in their favourite Gaga outfits," Perez said of the Poker Face star's popularity.
"She's very inspiring as a person on a personal level, whenever I'm around her I just feel like I want to do everything," he revealed.
"We talk about music a lot and what she's doing, it's really special, I've known her for three years," Perez explained.
Perez has also been keeping his eye on gossip on this side of the Atlantic, and is especially excited about the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
"I'm already talking about Wills and Kate," the celebrity blogger admitted, adding that the big topics of debate were "who Harry will take to the wedding, who's going to perform".
He added: "Personally I think it should be Elton (John) of course and Leona Lewis, I'd love Leona to perform!"
