Perfect 10 Kimberley wows judges

Kimberley Walsh wowed the judges

Kimberley Walsh has topped the Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard for the second week running as the contestants battled it out on the dancefloor for a place in next week's final.

The Girls Aloud singer scored a perfect score of 40 out of 40 for her Charleston routine to the theme song from the film Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines.

She and partner Pasha Kovalev also wowed the judges dancing the American smooth to the song Fever as each couple performed two dances for the first time.

Watched by bandmates Cheryl Cole and Nicola Roberts, Walsh said she felt "amazing" after delighting the audience with both of her performances.

Judge Len Goodman said: "It was fun, frivolous, everything you want to see in a Charleston. You weren't flying economy, you were flying first class."

In a change to previous years only one pair will leave Sunday's results show, which means that four couples will be in the final to compete for the glitterball trophy.

Former favourite Denise Van Outen narrowly missed out on four 10s from the judges as she bounced back from being in the dance-off last week. She and partner James Jordan scored 39 for their tango to Roxanne by The Police before impressing again with the rumba to Roberto Flack's The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.

Actress Dani Harmer and partner Vincent Simone scored 38 for their performance of the Argentine tango to Astor Piazzolla's composition Libertango. The Tracey Beaker star also performed the American smooth to Michael Buble's I Just Haven't Met You, after which Darcey Bussell described her as "eloquent and very chic".

Gymnast Louis Smith, the last remaining male contestant, scored his highest score of 38 dancing the foxtrot to Gotye's Somebody I Used To Know. He and partner Flavia Cacace disappointed some of the judges with their jive to Frankie Lymon and The Teenagers' 1950s hit Why Do Fools Fall In Love.

Former Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley finished bottom on the leaderboard but had Revel Horwood crying with laughter after her energetic salsa with dancing partner Robin Windsor.
