Perrie Edwards 'hiding contact with Zayn'
Little Mix star Perrie Edwards is reportedly feeling torn about the situation with her former fiancé Zayn Malik.
Pop star Perrie Edwards is reportedly worried people will judge her for keeping in contact with her ex-fiancé Zayn Malik.
The Little Mix singer was engaged to the former One Direction hunk until August (15), when he reportedly broke up with her via text a few months after his shock departure from the band. Zayn has since sent the rumour mill into overdrive with his flirtatious behaviour towards the likes of PR worker Carlyn Bryan, while Perrie is appearing to enjoy single life. But apparently all is not as it seems, with a source claiming Zayn is keen to make amends with his former fiancée.
"Perrie's been trying to keep her contact with Zayn under wraps because she fears some people could judge her for running back to him," the insider told Britain's Closer magazine. "Zayn has asked her to go away for a few days together so they can hang out. Perrie's torn over what to do. She still loves him but she's not sure if she's ready to go back."
The source adds the former couple miss one another deeply, and that 22-year-old Zayn is keen to win her back. But it seems Perrie has tried to move on, as British reality star Joey Essex recently suggested they had been on several dates following her breakup.
Luckily Perrie, also 22, has her bandmates Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall to lean on during this tough time. They are a close-knit group and Jesy told Teen Vogue at the beginning of October (15) how powerful their bond is.
“To be honest, we’re just loving what we’re doing and we get to experience all of this together, which is amazing,” Jesy explained. “There aren’t many people who can say they see different things every day. We genuinely get on so well, and even though we’re in each other’s pockets, we never argue - and no one believes us, but even when we get done with work for the day, we still want to have sleepovers. It’s like we’re addicted to each other.”
