Katy Perry and Russell Brand are reportedly planning a short break to discuss their relationship.
The two stars are in the process of getting divorced after their 16-month marriage broke down last December. There have been various reports about both sides wondering whether they were too hasty with the split, even though they are both thought to have moved on.
It's now been claimed Katy has reached out to Russell to see if they can at least start talking again.
"Katy woke up and realised life's too short to hold grudges, so surely they can be friends," a source told Look magazine. "She called Russell and asked if he wanted to get away to talk things through."
Russell is thought to have recently sent Katy a heart-felt email saying the divorce is one of the biggest regrets of his life.
He is said to have agreed to talk things over.
"He was all for it," the insider said, "and suggested a two-day break in Mexico, where a friend has a villa. They're obviously both hoping it'll help them move on."
