Perry glad that Brand is clean
Katy Perry has said she is thankful that her husband Russell Brand has remained clean after conquering his drug habit.
Following the British funnyman's touching tribute to late songstress Amy Winehouse, the US pop star revealed how she is grateful that Russell overcame his own well-publicised addiction.
"My husband, who's been clean and sober for almost nine years, I see him working a programme and working on himself every single day," she told Good Morning America.
"And I see how much work it takes to be clean and sober when you have addiction on your hands. So it gave me a real gratefulness for my husband, who got clean when he was 27."
Katy admitted her heart felt "very sad" when she heard about Amy's passing and said she hoped the Rehab star "finds peace".
At the weekend, the Firework singer showed off a cute Smurfette mini dress, newly blonde locks and a Smurf manicure at the New York premiere of The Smurfs, in which she voices the lady Smurf.
She was joined by co-stars Neil Patrick Harris, Sofia Vergara, Jayma Mays and Alan Cumming.
