Pete Wicks 'needs this break' from TOWIE

Pete Wicks will "never, ever dog" ex-girlfriend Megan McKenna, regardless of what she says about him.

Pete Wicks is planning to make the most of his time away from The Only Way Is Essex, following the dramatic end of his relationship with Megan McKenna.

The conclusion of the pair's fiery romance has formed the majority of plot lines for the most recent series of the ITVBe reality show.

And after the finale aired this week, Pete is now planning to make the most of his break from the camera.

"It has definitely been a hard series and I need this break; I need to concentrate on myself," he told The Sun. 'TOWIE can be mentally draining sometimes. Hopefully by the next series I will be fully loaded."

One of the main issues that has been discussed on the programme is the nature of Pete's relationship with Chloe Sims, with Megan accusing them of getting intimate while she and her beau were on a break. However, once that plot was over, Chloe became aggravated by Pete's friendship with Megan considering what the outspoken star had said about her.

But Pete, 28, is unconcerned about what Chloe thinks, adding: "I don’t give a s**t. If Chloe doesn’t like (that I'm friends with Megan now) and wants to keep talking about it then so be it."

The long-haired star, nicknamed 'The Pirate', also said that regardless of what Megan says about him, he will never slam his former love. Megan has been less than complimentary about her ex in the past, but he insists he will not respond negatively.

"I will never, ever dog Megan. I don’t think that’s the right thing to do. Just because she’s my ex does not mean I will turn my back on her," he continued.
