Pictured: Erica Stoll tackles Rory's awkward parking while leaving Portstewart Golf Club

Erica Stoll was spotted trying to manoeuvre Rory McIllroy's awkward parking job on Friday, as the couple made their exit from Portstewart Golf Club.

The pair were snapped heading to their car after the Co Down golfer failed to make the cut at the Irish Open.

While the American did offer her husband a consolatory kiss before attempting to get into the car, she wasn't left much room and appeared to have accidentally dinged the vehicle parked next to them.

Speaking about failing to defend his Irish Open title, Rory said afterwards: "The most disappointing thing for me is not being here for the weekend. It's an important tournament to me and one that I want to play well in.

"It's the simple things I haven't been doing well. Golf becomes so much easier when you do the simple things well."

Erica was also spotted earlier in the day supporting her husband on the golf course - but appeared to be battling the north coast weather while watching from the sidelines.

The couple met in 2012 and tied the knot in April this year at the luxurious Ashford Castle in Co Mayo.
