Pike welcomes baby boy
Rosamund Pike and Robie Uniacke have welcomed their second child.
The British actress gave birth to a baby boy at home on December 2, her spokesperson has confirmed to E! News.
The new addition is the second son for the Gone Girl star and long term partner Robie Uniacke, who already share a two-and-a-half-year-old son, Solo.
The 35-year-old has been in a relationship with the researcher since 2009.
However, Rosamund has admitted in the past it feels “interesting to break all the rules” and forego marriage at the moment - despite their expanding family.
“It is interesting to break all the rules," she told Vogue in 2012. "I'm not married, I have a baby, and it feels infinitely more right."
The former Bond Girl apparently has few worries about how Solo will be as a big brother. The toddler is already living up to the symbolism behind his name, she recently explained.
“It's the notion of freedom," she told Britain’s OK! magazine last year when asked the reason behind the moniker. "It's solo travel, solo flight, it's that independent spirit and that's what really matters to me in life. He came out the most chilled little guy. He's really mellow."
The couple have yet to reveal the name for their second son.
The new addition comes as Rosamund’s career is hitting new highs.
She recently received critical acclaim for her role opposite Ben Affleck in the big screen adaptation of best-selling thriller Gone Girl.
She’s also scheduled to be honoured with the Breakthrough Performance Award at the 2015 Palm Springs Film Festival.
