Pitt: Aniston's a 'dear friend'
Jennifer Aniston is still "a dear friend" to Brad Pitt, despite his earlier comments about their marriage.
The Moneyball star admitted he hasn't heard from his ex-wife after making the "widely misinterpreted" remarks to Parade, where he admitted he "wasn't living an interesting life".
Brad - who has six children with partner Angelina Jolie - told US talk show host Matt Lauer on The Today Show: "I don't want [people] to say anything bad like that about Jen. She's a dear friend of mine."
He added that all he was trying to say was that "the best thing I'd done as a father is be sure that my kids have a good mother".
"I think it's a shame that I can't say something nice about Angie without Jen being dragged in. She doesn't deserve it," he continued.
In the Parade interview, the 47-year-old also said he was "trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn't" and that having a family makes him a "satisfied man".
