Brad Pitt reportedly gave his fiancé and mother of his six children Angelina Jolie breath mints for Valentine’s Day as a “joke gift”.
The 49-year-old actor and the 37-year-old actress have been together for nearly a decade and share six children together.
This year’s February 14 was more of a laugh for the couple than a grand romantic affair.
Apparently Brad loves joking with Angelina and provided her with a semisweet gift, Eat Whatever vegan and sugar free breath mints that include a gel cap to swallow and mints to suck on.
"It is sort of a joke -- and not," a source told Us Weekly magazine.
"He always teases her that she has bad breath.
"It's a joke gift . . . he'll also get her something more serious."
The A-list couple are rumoured to have asked their friends and family to keep the final week of May free, as they are planning to wed then.
This date coincides with the completion of the £35 million renovation of their Chateau Miraval mansion in the South of France, which is where they plan to hold their nuptials.
The actors have allegedly also chosen this time of year as it falls directly after the end of the Cannes Film Festival on May 26. This ensures the ceremony is convenient for many of their movie industry guests, who will be in France anyway.
“Everything is pointing towards the end of May or beginning of June,” a local source told British magazine Grazia recently. “Their renovations are due to finish any day now and builders have been working around the clock to complete it in time. Plus all of Brad and Angelina’s closest friends in the industry will be in town for Cannes.”
