Play Your Cards Right won't return?

Plans to bring back Play Your Cards Right have been shelved, according to reports.

The Sun says that the show, famously fronted by Sir Bruce Forsyth in the 1980s, was set to return on ITV with Vernon Kay presenting.

But a source was quoted as saying: "Vernon had been really excited about the show but there were fears it didn't have enough skill.

"It is a real shame as it is a great format."

Contestants have to guess the value of playing cards and whether they are higher or lower in the show.
