Tyler Posey has revealed that he's often kept in the dark about what is happening in Teen Wolf.

The 20-year-old actor, who plays werewolf Scott McCall in the TV series, admitted he sometimes doesn't even know what is going to happen to his character.

"It's so bizarre how crazy the episodes are - the twists and turns. You never know where it's going. I don't!" he said.

"Halfway through the season, I have no idea who is who. It's very confusing, and it's hard to shoot that way but we got it done. It's amazing and the fans are going to love every bit of it."

Tyler, whose character is inspired by Michael J Fox's in the original 1985 movie, heaped praise on the Canadian star.

"I love Michael J Fox. He's such a good actor, especially in Teen Wolf. His character and my character are a lot alike in a sense that they want to just not be an outcast any more and fit in but we definitely did our own thing," he explained.

"I didn't want to copy exactly what Michael was doing because we're doing such a completely different take on the movie. So I didn't want to watch it too much and have it ingrained in my head that I would be just like him because I wanted to do something different and I think we pulled it off pretty well."

:: The second season of Teen Wolf can be seen on Sky Living on Thursdays.
