Pregnant Bradbury's UK adventure
Julia Bradbury has described how she filmed her latest TV series, which included flying a sea plane and plunging down a zip wire, while secretly going through IVF.
The TV presenter fronts new show The Wonder Of Britain, which looks at some of the country's stand-out gems, and her exploration of the British aisles saw her take the controls of a sea plane, have a full immersion kelp bath, and travel down a zip wire at Cornwall's Eden project.
Now pregnant with twins, she told TV Times of filming: "It was really difficult because obviously you can't tell anybody. You're not sharing all of this when you're going through it, so you just have to get on.
"And then there's the physical side of it as well. One minute you're flying a plane. The next minute you have to go to the loo to inject yourself. And you can't tell anybody, 'Actually, I need 10 minutes just to have a little bit of calm, just to have a breather on my own'."
She added of the new series: "Essentially, it's a celebration of the things that make Britain stand out as an iconic home of magnificent landscapes, rich history and architectural diversity."
The Wonder Of Britain begins on ITV on January 6.
