Pregnant Cara De La Hoyde praises 'amazing' Love Island ex Nathan Massey

The 25-year-old reality star won the ITV2 series last year with Nathan, and the pair had appeared to be in the running for the title of the show's most successful pairing.

Pregnant Cara De La Hoyde praised her "amazing" ex Nathan Massey as the new series of Love Island premiered on Monday night (05Jun17).

The 25-year-old reality star won the ITV2 series last year with Nathan, and the pair had appeared to be in the running for the title of the show's most successful pairing.

However, they split in April after an eight-month romance, with Cara revealing shortly afterwards that they are expecting their first child together.

The circus performer has no regrets about her time on the show though, as she proved with a heartfelt tweet while gearing up to watch the latest batch of hopefuls on the matchmaking series.

"Last year I won @loveisland with an amazing person and although things may not be quite where we imagined them to be, we have been given the greatest gift we could have ever won," she wrote.

"Good luck tonight to all the new islanders I hope you enjoy it as much as we did and let’s find a worthy winning couple to pass our crowns on to... me and bump will be watching @itv2 9pm."

It looks as though ITV2 will live up to their promise that it's going to be a "long hot summer", judging by the first episode of the new series. Despite having known each other for mere hours, Amber Davies and Harley Judge shared the first kiss of the 2017 season, after being paired up and having to share a bed.

Despite Harley telling Amber that sharing the bed didn't mean she should be pressurised into getting intimate with him, the pretty star was happy to get up close and personal with her new beau. After their kissing session, Amber asked Harley not to tell any of the other contestants what had happened, to which he answered that he doesn't "kiss and tell".
