'Pregnant' Janet Jackson drops Dammn Baby video
Janet Jackson has dropped the music video for her new track ironically titled Dammn Baby amid reports she's pregnant with her first child.
Janet Jackson dropped a music video for new track Dammn Baby on Wednesday night (04Apr16) amid reports she is pregnant.
The 49-year-old singer is seen wearing a black latex suit jacket and harem style trousers as she shows off some impressive moves alongside a group of dancers in the black and white video.
With her hair long and loose, Janet lets her natural beauty shine through as she powers through the catchy track.
The video drop came just hours after it was reported that Janet is expecting her first child with retail tycoon husband Wissam Al Mana, less than two weeks before she celebrates her 50th birthday.
The pregnancy news followed Janet's announcement back in March (16) that she would be cancelling the rest of her Unbreakable World Tour to focus on starting a family.
"We’re in the second leg of the tour and there actually has been a sudden change," she explained in a video posted on Twitter.
"I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I'm going to have to delay the tour.
"Please, if you could try and understand that it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor’s orders. But I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can."
Janet didn't expressly confirm any baby news in the video, but it has now been reported she is in the second trimester of her pregnancy.
She has never made a secret of her desire to have children, but said in an interview with Harpers Bazaar magazine back in 2009 that she was leaving it up to God as to whether she would start a family.
"I think that if I'm really supposed to have kids, it will happen, if that's God's plan for me," she said. "I would hope my legacy would be bringing smiles to faces. Happiness with my music.
"Also, to make babies. I've had so many people come up to me and say, 'My child was conceived by listening to your music'."
