Britain's Prince Harry reportedly asked his friend to act as a "matchmaker" between him and a British singer.
The 27-year-old royal is rumoured to be dating The Saturdays star Mollie King, although she has been reluctant to confirm or deny the romance.
Harry and Mollie met at a polo match back in 2010 and it's claimed he finally asked his friend Guy Pelly to help him get to know her better earlier this year.
"Mollie has been on Harry's radar for some time, but it was Guy who made the enquiries about her to friends and got hold of her number," an insider told the UK edition of Grazia.
"He acted as a matchmaker. Harry loves Mollie's company and thinks that she is great fun. He has been interested in her for some time, but being a gentleman, he waited until he knew she was single."
Mollie split from male model David Gandy earlier this year.
Although both the singer and prince are remaining quiet about their supposed flourishing love, it's thought things are going well.
"It's early days for them, but they are really into one another," another insider claimed.
It was recently suggested that Harry is keeping quiet about the speculation surrounding his love life because he is trying to woo back his ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy, and thinks being made to look like a hunk could help him.
