Prince William 'making baby care plans'

Prince William

Britain's Prince William has allegedly asked Catherine Middleton's mother Carole to be "100 per cent involved" with raising their child.

The royal married Catherine Middleton in April 2011 and are expecting their first child together this summer.

Their plans for raising their child have started to emerge over recent months, with it recently revealed that Catherine will return to her family home for the initial period after giving birth.

"William has reassured Carole [Catherine's mother] that she and the whole family would always be 100 per cent involved in the rearing of their children," a source told British magazine Grazia. "It is very important to him... He said he knew how much Kate would need her mother once a child was born."

It was well documented that the beginning of Catherine’s pregnancy was rough due to a severe strain of morning sickness called hyperemesis gravidarum.

It is thought this is what sparked William to seek out Carole's support for his pregnant wife and to ask her to be involved in her care following the birth.

The mother and daughter duo have been seen out shopping for the royal baby with recent sightings spotting them at exclusive boutiques in London's South Kensington area.

"Carole is pulling out all the stops to prepare for her first grandchild," the royal insider continued. "She is so excited and is ensuring they have only the best for the baby. It's a wonderful time for Carole and Kate and they're both loving preparing for the new arrival. They've never been closer."
