Pro Green: I'll write in hospital

Professor Green was trapped between two cars

Professor Green plans to make the most of his time off following his accident by working on his third album.

The Read All About It rapper, whose real name is Stephen Manderson, has kept his fans updated on Twitter while he rests in hospital after being crushed between two cars on May 24.

"Plus side of being out of action is I can actually finish writing the album. I'll have to credit Tramadol for anything I write in the next week or two," joked the 29-year-old.

Pro Green - who is engaged to Made In Chelsea's Millie Mackintosh - said that his upcoming single will be a teaser for the record.

"I haven't been this excited about putting out something new since read all about it. It's a sign of what's to come. Feels like my first album all over again. It's the first album I've made from scratch - it sounds more like me than the first two because I've had a bigger part in the direction," he wrote.

The star was caught between two cars - a Mercedes-Benz ML63 SUV and an SLS AMG - while collecting a hire car to travel to perform at a student ball.

"Off to the hospital we go. I'm making jokes but I'm in all sorts of discomfort... Probable broken leg... Crushed between a @mercedesbenzuk ML63 and an SLS AMG #classy," he tweeted after the incident.

He later wrote: "So f*****g depressed. If I'd have fallen when the car hit me I'd be dead. Would have been my head in between the cars. Nearly 4 yrs to the day I got stabbed and again a full moon, something about this time of year that brings me badness."
