Phil Spencer and Kirstie Allsopp are teaming up for new TV show Hotel GB

Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer will turn their attention to the hotel business instead of homes in a new Channel 4 show.

Gok Wan will run the bar, Kirstie is concierge and Phil has been hired as maitre d'.

Former Dragons' Den star Hilary Devey is managing the hotel shop and Katie Piper, the charity campaigner who had acid thrown in her face in 2008, is running the spa.

Expert cleaner Kim Woodburn is head of housekeeping and Embarrassing Bodies presenter Dr Christian Jessen is in charge of the gym.

The celebrities will recruit unemployed people to the hotel and attempt to find them full-time jobs by the end of the week.

Gordon, also running the restaurant, and Mary will compete to raise as much cash as possible for The Prince's Trust and The Springboard Charity which both help young people.

TV chef Gordon said: "We are all putting ourselves on the line to help kick-start careers for young people in the service industry.

"The real excitement will come when members of the public book a room or visit the spa and restaurant and pay for the services if they think they are up to stretch."
