Rachel Bilson: I avoid stress

Rachel Bilson

Rachel Bilson doesn't cope well in stressful situations.

The actress is the daughter of director and TV script writer Danny Bilson and the granddaughter of Bewitched and Hawaiian Five-O director Bruce Bilson.

She claims having family in the industry makes auditioning for roles harder rather than easier for her.

"My father is in the same industry so I'd grow up on set. But when I went for auditions, they'd be like 'I know your dad' or, 'I know your grandpa'. I'd feel so pressured that I would totally choke. It's like they would suck something out of me and I would just crumble under pressure and do terribly," she told the latest UK edition of Cosmopolitan magazine.

"I'm the same now in certain situations; I don't think I ever overcome pressure well. I've just learnt not to put myself into situations where I have to deal with it much!"

The 31-year-old beauty has been dating Hayden Christensen on-and-off for around six years. She says her sensitive nature is something seen in her relationships too.

"I'm an emotional person; I go with my heart before my head every time!" she admitted. "I've always been a fan of love! I love any book or movie or anything to do with love because I am a romantic. I hope I am a considerate, thoughtful and loving girlfriend. I think it's the little things - thoughtfulness is a really big key to romance."

Virgo:

It's difficult to deal with a highly competitive colleague. Every time you submit work, they try to find ways to outperform you. Although you have no interest in pitting your talent against theirs, this other person thinks very differently. Ignoring them won't be possible. A good way to disarm this pest is to invite them out for coffee. Describe what you've observed and ask for a truce. Irrational people are often thrown off balance when their behaviour is addressed in a direct manner.More
