Radcliffe's trailer bonding

Daniel Radcliffe thinks sharing trailers on the set of Kill Your Darlings helped the cast bond.

The 24-year-old actor stars alongside Dane DeHaan in Kill Your Darlings, which is about the relationship between Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs.

It had a small budget, which Daniel actually saw as a positive.

"Well, we did film it very quickly around New York for 25 days, so there was an intensity to it," he told British magazine Heat. "But because it was so low budget, we didn't have individual trailers, which actually is a wonderful thing because it means the actors hung out and engaged with each other. I think we bonded more as a cast than you usually would on a film set."

Daniel portrays writer Allen in the release, while Dane is Lucien Carr. They share a kiss in the movie and struck up a great friendship off screen too. Last year Daniel stayed with Dane is his New York City apartment for a month, which really cemented their bond.

"Yes, our legendary staycation," Daniel recalled. "It was a lot of fun to hang out for a month. Our director also came round on New Year's Eve and we played this card game called Cards Against Humanity. If you don't know what it is, be careful: don't play it with your parents. It's a game for horrible people. It's got rude questions and even ruder answers."
