Rebel Wilson says her family keep her grounded by telling her to "go unload the dishwasher".
The funny star rose to fame in hit comedy Bridesmaids and stars alongside Anna Kendrick in musical movie Pitch Perfect.
Despite her desirable lifestyle, the 26-year-old insists she would never get away with diva behaviour.
"I don't come from a very glamorous upbringing, which is good," she told British magazine Stylist.
"I've always struggled for what I have and even now I just try to work hard and not suddenly become a massive diva. If I do anything remotely diva-ish my family are just like, 'Um, Rebel, go and unload the dishwasher.' My mum and dad were dog handlers so I grew up in the dog show world with interesting and eccentric characters, so that was good."
The Australian star showed off her many talents in an all-singing-all-dancing role in Pitch Perfect.
Rebel says the movie was great fun to film, especially when all the cast hung out together after work.
"It was like a non-stop party," she smiled.
"The cast all lived in the same hotel so it was like living in a glamorous college dorm. One night, me, Anna [Kendrick] and a few others went to a Jay-Z and Kanye West concert. We got free tickets and got escorted in by security. Then this ghetto fight started behind us where a girl took off her stiletto and started hitting another girl. We witnessed everything and we were like, 'Wow, this is so gangsta.'"
