Norman Reedus has refuted rumours he and his The Walking Dead co-star Emily Kinney are in a romantic relationship with each other.

Rumours emerged this week The Walking Dead co-stars are engaged in a romantic relationship.

But Norman’s representative tells TMZ this couldn’t be farther from the truth, as his client views Emily as a “sister”.

The spokesperson also stressed Norman’s relationship with the 29-year-old actress is strictly platonic.

“We can confirm that they are not dating,” his rep told Hollywood Life.

Norman poked fun at the rumours himself on Wednesday with a funny message on his Twitter account.

“new couple alert (sic),” he wrote in a tweet attached to an image of himself holding up a can of Coors Lite beer while leaning over the shoulder of a smiling Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The 46-year-old actor, who portrays character Daryl Dixon on The Walking Dead, has built up a reputation for being somewhat of a ladies’ man.

Earlier this year Norman dated model Cecilia Singley briefly before the pair called it quits. He also enjoyed a longtime romance with supermodel Helena Christensen in the past, with the former couple having dated for five years before splitting up in 2003. Norman and Helena are parents to 15-year-old son Mingus.

Norman has previously admitted he is very attracted to cover girls.

"I've been with several,” he told America’s GQ magazine of dating models. “Not any to the extent that… Helena and I were pretty serious."

In the same interview, Norman claimed his approach to parenting differs tremendously from the star’s love life mentality.

"[It’s] pretty f**king serious,” he said of what fatherhood means to him.
