Restraining order against Taryn Manning turned down
Taryn Manning has released a statement insisting claims made about her by her former make-up artist are false.
Taryn Manning's former make-up artist has had her request for a restraining order against the star turned down.
Holly Hartman has alleged the Orange Is The New Black actress attacked her on several occasions, most recently in November (15). During that incident, Holly claims Taryn tried to force her to retaliate.
"Pick a knife. I’m wearing a white shirt there will be a lot of blood. You will be famous for killing Taryn Manning," she alleges the actress screamed, according to court documents seen by the team at TMZ.
Holly claims the 37-year-old star headbutted her and put her in a headlock, with the incident said to have occurred in Taryn's New York City apartment. The documents add Holly was sprayed with glass cleaner Windex in her mouth and eyes and whipped with a towel.
However, the request for the restraining order was filed in Los Angeles and because that wasn't where the alleged attack took place a judge turned it down.
Taryn has released a statement via her legal team, insisting she hasn't been in touch with Holly for months and that the make-up artist has been accused of stalking her.
"The court has already denied the request by Ms. Hartman for a temporary restraining order. The application for the order is suspect because Ms. Manning has had no contact with Ms. Hartman in many months due to Ms. Hartman's actions against Ms. Manning, which are currently under criminal investigation in multiple jurisdictions," it read.
"These investigations have long predated these entirely fabricated allegations. Ms. Hartman is under investigation for stalking Ms. Manning and for theft and other crimes. It is clear that Ms. Hartman's camp has leaked these allegations which were not available publically to elevate her own position and obscure her own wrong doing."
This isn't the first time Taryn has been accused of this kind of conduct. In October 2012 she was arrested after Holly claimed she'd been violent towards her - choking, punching and kicking her. In the end Holly didn't prosecute and Taryn was offered a ACD, (adjournment in contemplation of dismissal) and one day's community service. It meant the star would have the charge dismissed as long as she completed the service and didn't get into trouble for six months.
Taryn is best known as Tiffany 'Pennsatucky' Doggett in Netflix series Orange Is the New Black.
