Ricci obsessed with crime

Christina Ricci enjoys watching crime shows, as she finds the true life tales "amazing".

The petite actress also confesses that the Investigation Discovery network is her favourite TV channel to watch, as it indulges her love of crime shows.

But Christina's husband James Heerdegen gets sick of watching the gory shows that depict real life tales.

"I'm obsessed with True Crime, the ID channel is my favourite thing ever. It's all crime shows, and really dramatic crimes shows! There'll be a show about people going missing and the whole time there'll be a really soft voiceover like, 'I was happy that day as I walked to the...' and then it's just like eerie, it's amazing," she laughed to hosts Billy Bush and Kit Hoover.

"He [James] thinks it's a little much at times. I think in the beginning he was like, 'That's interesting that you love this stuff' and then finally he was like, 'Can we please just change the channel? I can't watch another hour of this.'"

Christina is preparing for her latest project to air, TV movie Lizzie Borden Took an Axe, which will be shown on American channel Lifetime on Saturday.

The film tells the true story of the infamous Lizzie Borden, who was accused of killing her parents in 1892.

Aside from her love of the crime genre, 33-year-old Christina is also a big fan of reality TV, much to her husband's annoyance.

"[The Real Housewives] is another thing he can't stand. I watch them all," she confessed.

"I really like Orange County because it's so different from anything I can relate to, it's sort of really voyeuristic. It's like they belong in a little glass domed world that you're looking at. They just look like dolls. I believe it's really because who would believe to fake that stuff?"
