Rice still has famous jumpsuits

Anneka Rice said her children use her jumpsuits for fancy dress parties

Anneka Rice has revealed she still has a huge stash of the famous jumpsuits from her TV series Challenge Anneka - and her children wear them for fancy dress parties.

The presenter became hugely popular for the clothing she wore on Channel 4's Treasure Hunt and later on her own BBC series trying to help communities.

Anneka, now a Radio 2 presenter, said she has hung on to a considerable number to help good causes whenever she can.

She tells Radio Times: "There are about 30 hidden away in cupboards that I give away to charity auctions - and my sons are guilty of wearing them to the occasional fancy dress party.

"One of their more recent outings was when I did Come Dine With Me. Rowland Rivron was at my house and a lot of wine was consumed and suddenly he was in one of my jumpsuits running up the street. Eventually the police had to be called as he was keeping the neighbours awake."

Anneka said she longs for TV programmes which can be a "force for good", in the way Challenge Anneka was.

"When we used to do Challenge it had an amazing effect on communities," she said.
