Richie hosts new BBC daytime show

Shane Richie is set to host a new BBC One daytime show.

The EastEnders star will front Decimate, a quiz show set to be filmed this summer for broadcast in the autumn.

The quiz sees a team of three contestants fighting to maintain a £20,000 Wall of Cash over four rounds. With every wrong answer their total is reduced by 10%.

Shane, who plays Walford's Alfie Moon, said: "What I love about the show is that it's about teamwork and pooling knowledge to get results. I'm really looking forward to meeting the contestants - seeing some big wins and some contestants get Decimated!"

BBC Daytime controller Damian Kavanagh said: "We are excited to have commissioned this brand new series. It has huge play along and a great team dynamic that we know our audience have come to love and enjoy and with Shane hosting, it is a great addition to our daytime quiz line up."
