Former TOWIE star Ricky Rayment has reportedly popped the question to Geordie Shore girlfriend Marnie Simpson.

The former TOWIE star has been dating his fellow reality TV star girlfriend for six months. But their whirlwind romance has reportedly culminated in a proposal.

“[Ricky has] never been happier” a source told British newspaper The Mirror. “It might come across that things are moving a little too quickly...but Ricky believes he's met the girl of his dreams.”

The 24-year-old is believed to have popped the questions two weeks ago and Marnie “immediately said yes”.

The news will no doubt raise some eyebrows among Ricky’s former cast mates, as he hadn’t long been broken up from Jessica Wright when he started dating Marnie. And according to his ex, he had been gearing up to propose to her.

But the insider told the outlet that the Essex boy was focused on his future with his Geordie goddess.

“Jess is a distant memory,” they added.

Fans will reportedly see the proposal as it’s believed to be one of the main storylines of the series 11 finale of Geordie Shore.

“Ricky came in for the last episode and that’s when he proposed to her. They’re really happy,” a source told British newspaper The Sun.

It seems Marnie is as smitten with her beau as he is with her. After a recent holiday to Florida together, the brunette gushed about their future plans.

“I just know that I am going to be with my Essex boy forever,” she said. “It just feels right – and his parents would make the nicest grandparents.”

Neither star is set to return to their respective shows, as Ricky left TOWIE by mutual consent in March and Marnie is not expected to be back on series 12 of Geordie Shore.
