Rihanna: Matt Barnes romance is rubbish

Published 17/08/2015

Rihanna has shot down reports she's romancing sportsman Matt Barnes, claiming they've never even met.

TMZ posted an article recently, in which the gossip site claimed to have chatted to the Memphis Grizzlies player. While he said stories of the two going on dates were "gossip", he apparently added that they are friends and that things "could be going down the relationship road".

Now the 27-year-old singer has completely shut down the sportsman with an Instagram post.

Alongside a picture of the star from the TMZ post, she wrote the hashtags: "#bishwhere #thedevilisaliar #shesnotthatintoyou #shesnotintoyouatall #shesneverevenmetyou #thisactuallyhurtmyfeelings #defamationofcharacter (sic)"

Hopefully all the talk about Matt won't affect her rumoured relationship with Formula One ace Lewis Hamilton.

The pair have got people talking after being snapped several times in the same locations. On Friday tongues started wagging yet again when they both visited The Griffin nightclub in New York's Meatpacking District.

However, it seems the stars are keen to keep people guessing as they arrived and left separately. Rihanna even went to breakfast with Akon's brother Bu after her night at the Griffin claims TMZ.

Lewis, 30, and Rihanna both enjoyed a holiday in Barbados recently and were also spotted at 1Oak nightclub in the Big Apple last week.

Neither have commented on the speculation yet, but both are pros at handling high-profile relationships. Lewis dated Nicole Scherzinger on and off for many years, while Rihanna dealt with media attention during her turbulent romance with Chris Brown.
