Robert Pattinson was reportedly "indifferent" to the statement Kristen Stewart released in the wake of her cheating scandal.
The actor seems to think it does not matter what Kristen has to say about her infidelity or feelings for him, as what is done is done. Reportedly Robert is no longer concerned by Kristen's activities, following her admission that she'd been unfaithful with married director Rupert Sanders.
"Rob was indifferent to her statement," a source told the British edition of Grazia magazine. "Kristen wrote it and she's desperately trying to make up for the fling by expressing her love for him. It's incredible not only that Kristen would do this, but to do so in public beggars belief."
Reports about the infidelity came out last week, after which Kristen released a statement calling Robert "the person I love and respect the most" and apologising for her "momentary indiscretion".
While Robert has taken a back seat in the scandal surrounding Kristen, Rupert's scorned wife Liberty Ross was reportedly suspicious about the pair for some time. The 33-year-old actress could even have gone to the extreme lengths of hiring a private investigator to expose the truth about Rupert's relationship with the 22-year-old Twilight star, it has been claimed.
Rupert directed Snow White and the Huntsman, which Kristen and Liberty starred in.
