Singer Robin Thicke has paid tribute to his father, Growing Pains star Alan Thicke, following his death at the age of 69.
The actor died from a heart attack on Tuesday in Los Angeles.
The Blurred Lines singer, 39, told the Los Angeles Times his father was "the greatest man I ever met" and "always a gentleman".
He confirmed Thicke suffered a heart attack while playing hockey with his son Carter, the Los Angeles Times said, and that he had complimented his singer son in his last conversation with him.
"The good thing was that he was beloved and he had closure," the star said.
"I saw him a few days ago and told him how much I loved and respected him."
Alan Thicke starred as Dr Jason Seaver in the ABC series Growing Pains, which aired from 1985 until 1992.
