Sir Roger Moore wishes he could take some James Bond gadgets on holiday, but he had to give them all back.
The actor portrayed the smooth-talking spy in several movies during the '70s and '80s. He enjoyed the role immensely but wishes he had been able to keep some keepsakes as they might aide him when he is foreign places.
"Apart from my pillows? No Bond gadgets, unfortunately," he told British newspaper The Telegraph, when asked what he takes on holiday with him. "They took them all back. I wish I did have a few, then I could auction them off for UNICEF."
The 84-year-old star enjoys travelling and has never had a bad holiday. His wife Kristina sometimes packs for him and he has a trick to ensure his clothes are always wrinkle free when he is out and about.
Roger hangs his suits in the bathroom to get rid of creases, although this once almost caused a problem.
"[It] normally does the trick. Except for the time we visited Prince Edward Island in Canada and I unfortunately had three suits hanging and the trousers slipped off into the hot steamy bath. That was at about 8pm; fortunately I managed to make the trousers that I'd been travelling in look OK with a jacket, so I didn't have to go down to dinner in my Y-fronts," he said.
