Rosie O’Donnell and Tatum O’Neal 'break up'
Rosie O’Donnell and Tatum O’Neal have reportedly ended their relationship after four months together.
Rosie O’Donnell and Tatum O’Neal have reportedly split.
The pair were first romantically linked in September, when it was alleged that they had been dating in secret for the past two months.
At the time, a representative for Rosie publicly denied the romance rumours, insisting the pair were just friends and “nothing more”.
However, in private, Rosie and Tatum’s relationship seemed to be flourishing.
But following an incredibly difficult few months, which has included Rosie’s daughter Chelsea running away, moving out and then publicly slamming her mother in a no holds barred interview, the pair’s romance has apparently come to an end.
"They broke up. It wasn't working,” a source told People.com. “In their four months together, they went through a lot: Rosie's father died, her daughter [Chelsea] ran away, there was a lot of of tumult. It was too much.”
Rosie’s representative once again refused to comment on the romance allegations, stressing that the pair are friends.
Tatum had fuelled reports of a relationship with Rosie back in September when she posted a picture on Instagram of the pair together.
Alongside the shot of herself and Rosie at the television star’s new home in Florida, Tatum wrote: “#vacations my wife and I woo woo!!! (sic)”
Tatum and Rosie were first seen together as they enjoyed a night out at Broadway show Hamilton last month, before heading to dinner at Da Silvano restaurant in New York.
Tatum, 51, has three children with her ex-husband, tennis star John McEnroe. She's been through a lot in her life, including drug addiction and a difficult relationship with her father Ryan O'Neal, but now feels she has found the right path.
"I like women. I definitely have been dating mostly women recently," she told People magazine in May, before refusing to clarify her sexuality. "I'm not one or the other."
