Rosie O'Donnell 'spent months on pre-nup'

Michelle Rounds and Rosie ODonnell

Rosie O'Donnell and her new wife reportedly took over six months to decide on a pre-nup.

Earlier this week, the talk show host announced she had secretly wed Michelle Rounds in June. The pair confirmed their engagement in December last year and apparently began discussing the legal paperwork straight away.

"[Rosie has been] extremely generous to Michelle in the pre-nup," sources told New York Post. "[But Michelle] gets nothing if she cheats."

There are conflicting reports about when the pair started drawing up the legal document, with some sources claiming they were in talks for eight months.

The fine details of the pre-nuptial agreement weren't finalised until "hours before" the pair tied the knot on June 9, it's been claimed.

The couple had planned their big day for August, but moved it forward after Michelle was diagnosed with rare tumours. Rosie has also battled ill health, recently admitting she suffered a heart attack.

"Both women have health issues, but the pre-nup negotiations were pretty fraught in the days before the wedding. Rosie just wanted to get it signed under her terms. She wasn't in the mood to make any compromises," a source added to the publication.

"Despite this, Rosie and Michelle truly love each other, and they wanted to marry before Michelle underwent surgery."

The couple wed at Rosie's New York home in Nyack with no guests. They are planning a larger celebration once Michelle's health has improved.

This isn't a good time to make travel plans. Weather conditions and work responsibilities have a way of wreaking havoc with your schedule. Wait another few days before putting down a hefty deposit. Working behind the scenes will yield significant rewards. If someone asks you to serve as their assistant, go ahead and accept. The pay will be excellent and there will be a lot of fringe benefits, too. Don't talk about a neighbour's private life in mixed company.More
