RPatz 'told to tone down partying'

Robert Pattinson's team are reportedly worried his love life is affecting his career.

The actor is best known for playing sexy vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight franchise and his relationship with co-star Kristen Stewart was well documented in the media.

Since their split earlier this year the actor is rumoured to be dating Dylan Penn, but insiders claim the 27-year-old has been told to focus on work.

“Rob’s team felt he needed a wakeup call [and] that NOW is the time to get extremely serious about his career, even if that means quitting the womanising and music making that have defined his life in Los Angeles so far,” a source told Radar Online.

“They really don’t want him throwing this opportunity down the toilet.”

The website claims the initiative had been dubbed the "Brad Pitt intervention", as Angelina Jolie's fiancé has been presented as a role model for Robert.

Since the star is largely associated with Twilight, his team are reportedly keen for him to embrace a more challenging project.

“Rob has to pick his next movie before the end of the year, and frankly, everyone is worried he’s going to screw this up,” the insider sighed.

“There’s this very strong sense from his team that he needs to find a serious movie, like Brad did with Seven that pulls him out of the cheesecake territory.

“He can’t screw this up!”

Since The Twilight Saga ended last year, Robert has been working on drama Maps to the Stars, alongside Julianne Moore and John Cusack, and appeared in a campaign for Dior Homme.
